What might help insure that this movie glides over the one hundred million dollar mark is if there’s this little moment of comic relief where an obese passenger struggles to pull an impossibly overstuffed raspberry jelly donut out of a greasy brown paper bag. Two members of the flight crew watch as the passenger finally frees the donut from the bag then tears into it, speed gobbling it down in only a few bites. Jelly is slathered everywhere. As the crew members react in discreetly restrained disgust - a deadly South American Blunt Nose (or the production’s choice of killer snake) drops out of an overhead compartment and repeatedly strikes at the passenger’s face, killing them instantly. How much fun would THAT be!
