Roger Clemens and Brian McNamee were the obvious stars of the hearing. But we have to say that the indescribably hard to look at chairman of the committee, Rep. Henry A. Waxman stole the show because he was so….uh, indescribably hard to look at. We imagine that it was difficult for the Rocket to focus on his testimony (and I may be “misremembering” this) when straight ahead of him, as clear as the spit on the sweet spot of a catcher’s mitt (but not as attractive) was Waxman’s scary mug.
Hey look, we wouldn’t have focused any donut-fu onto poor Harvey if he didn’t prove himself to be a pompous buffoon. But then was there anyone in that chamber that wasn’t?
